From a modest job in a shopping center to gracing the world’s fashion stage, Ernesto “Iccaro” Pereira’s journey to international modelling is a tale of discovery, determination, and success.
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Iccaro’s life took a dramatic turn in 2004 when he was discovered by Mega Models Brasil while working as a salesperson at the Iguatemi shopping center. Recognizing his potential, the agency decided to send him to represent Brazil at an international modelling competition in Shanghai, China. This event was broadcasted throughout China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, attracting a massive audience.
Iccaro’s exotic charm and charisma landed him in second place, propelling his career to new heights. Soon after the competition, he signed a contract with Elite Models and got his first big break with a campaign for Levi’s. Thriving in the Asian market, Iccaro worked extensively across Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea, modelling for local and international brands like Samsung, Hyundai, and Versace.

By 2007, armed with an impressive portfolio, Iccaro signed a contract with Francina Models in Spain. However, the 2008 global economic recession hit the Spanish fashion industry hard. Seeking a fresh start amidst the crisis, Iccaro moved to London in 2008, where he continued his modelling career with Premier Model Management until 2015.
During his time in London, Iccaro also pursued academic studies, earning a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from London South Bank University. This opened up a new professional avenue for him in the field of electro muscle stimulation.
In 2016, Iccaro returned to Brazil and partnered with Miha Bodytech to open his own electro muscle stimulation studio, Impulse, in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. However, after five years and some disagreements with his business partners, he decided to return to Spain and resume his modelling career.
Currently, Iccaro is thriving in the international fashion industry, working with prestigious brands from the LVMH group, such as Louis Vuitton and Bvlgari. His work has also been featured in renowned magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, and L’uomo Vogue.

When asked about his motivation, Iccaro reflects, “Initially, what motivated me to enter the profession of modelling was the opportunity to travel and learn about new cultures.” His journey, filled with challenges, changes, and triumphs, is a testament to the rewarding experiences that can come from embracing opportunities and navigating the waves of life’s unpredictability. Despite his global success, Iccaro Pereira remains grounded, never forgetting his roots in São Paulo and the journey that led him to the world stage.
