Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like the entire world is against you? I think we all have. Days when you wake up and you think, oh no, it’s going to be one of “those” days again. You hit the snooze button one too many times, you stub your toe getting out of bed, you go to wash your face and splash it with freezing cold water to try and shake it off.
We are so hard on ourselves and our own worst critics. We really are. More time needs to be focused on gratitude and love and less on the negativity and things that don’t really serve you well in your life. I have learned to surround myself with people that bring value to my life and those that don’t, can stay at a distance.
Just because someone has a “title” never makes them “entitled” to treat you a certain way, even if they think it does. Every single solitary day we walk the earth should be treated like a total blessing because somewhere out there someone is taking their very last breath, that’s a fact. I don’t mean you need to go around thanking everyone but if you try and adjust your state of mind and be more grateful for what you DO have and not focus on what you DON’T have, you will find it changes your energy and makes you feel better.
Instead of saying I can’t to I will, I can and let’s go! Focusing on things that have happened to us in our past doesn’t serve us today or tomorrow so let it go. Journal if you can, that is a wonderful tool to release your feelings.
Making minor adjustments to your daily routine can make such a difference in your existence. Waking up and thinking good thoughts and putting out positive energy to the world and saying today is going to be a good day before your feet even hit the floor. Play music, listen to the birds chirping, look up at the beautiful clouds, appreciate the water that flows when it rains, listen to the ocean. We live in a magnificent world surrounded by magnificent people.
It truly is magical to take time out of your day and quiet your brain if you can. Everyone gets caught up in the hustle and bustle and before you know it, life ends. Don’t live life with regrets. You can’t take money with you, so enjoy it now while you’re alive! Being kind to one another is free and so is being kind to yourself so do it more and do it often and smile, it does the body good!
